What is BOPP film used for?
BOPP (Biaxially Oriented Polypropylene) film is used for flexible packaging, food and FMCG packaging (depending on grade), printed packaging, labels, lamination of printed materials and decorative packaging. It is valued for clarity, gloss, a clean surface finish and moisture resistance.
Which BOPP film thicknesses does Shrinakoda supply?
We supply 10 micron gloss, 12 micron gloss, 12 micron matt and 15 micron BOPP films, 20 micron thermal lamination film, 23 and 29 micron tape films, and 8 and 10 micron MET-PET (metallised) film.
What is the difference between gloss and matt BOPP film?
Gloss film is transparent and shiny, which makes colours and print look bright. Matt film has a soft, low-gloss surface that gives packaging a refined, premium feel. We supply both in 12 microns, and gloss in 10 microns too.
Which film is used to make packaging tape?
Tape film is the backing material that adhesive is coated on. We supply 23 and 29 micron imported tape films, suited to adhesive coating, slitting and tape production for packaging, stationery and selected industrial tapes.
Do you supply MET-PET and polyester films?
Yes. MET-PET (metallised polyester) film in 8 and 10 microns is part of our BOPP range, for packaging laminates and decorative packaging. We also supply polyester film from 75 to 250 microns for industrial converting, graphics and technical uses.
What adhesives do you supply?
Corrugation adhesives for corrugated board, pasting adhesives for paper and paperboard, wet and dry lamination adhesives for multilayer packaging, and tape adhesives for tape manufacturing. Our tape adhesives are imported.
Where is Shrinakoda based, and who do you work with?
We are based in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, and work with manufacturers, printers, converters and packaging businesses across India. We are direct company dealers for the material we supply.
